I’m a chartered psychologist with a PhD, researcher, and parent, passionate about helping families create positive and stress-free mealtime experiences and help children develop a positive attitude towards food, have a varied diet and be open with new food experiences.
Feeding our children is one of the most important ways we support their growth and wellbeing—but it’s not always simple! My mission is to empower parents with knowledge and evidence-based strategies that encourage healthy, varied eating habits for their children. With a PhD in psychology and extensive experience as a psychologist, researcher and a lecturer, I bring the rigor of science to my advice.
How I Can Help You
Through personalised consultations, I work with parents/care givers to:
Encourage children to try new foods and embrace variety.
Build stress-free mealtime routines tailored to your family.
Address feeding challenges such as picky eating with strategies backed by science.
Let’s Work Together
Feeding your child doesn’t have to be a source of stress. With the right tools and evidence-based guidance, you can make mealtimes an enjoyable part of your day. If you’re ready to explore how I can help, I’d love to hear from you!
Hi, I’m Serra!
Why I Care About Feeding Children
I know how applying evidence-based strategies can foster a child’s positive relationship with food and lead to a varied diet. I want to share this knowledge to help other parents navigate mealtimes with confidence and success.
I’m also driven to do this work because I’ve noticed that much of the advice around parenting often comes from individuals without the necessary credentials. Helping parents and children requires more than understanding one narrow area—it demands a deep understanding of research, the ability to interpret research findings, and the expertise to integrate insights from multiple fields of behavioral science. Without proper education and experience, it’s easy to oversimplify the complexities of parenting.
A flexible, realistic and evidence-based approach is essential because no two families are alike. Sometimes, what’s best for your child comes down to carefully weighing the costs and benefits of different strategies. Parenting is never one-size-fits-all, and I’m here to help you find what works best for your family.
